The Wooden Transport Pipe is one of many Pipes added by BuildCraft and can be used for extracting items from chests or other blocks with inventories, such as some machines.
They require power directly from an Engine or an Autarchic Gate to work. They are one of the most basic pipes, both in capabilities and ingredients. There is also an Adv. Wooden Transport Pipe and an Emerald Transport Pipe, both of which provide essentially the same function of allowing the items extracted to be filtered.
While Wooden Transport Pipes will not connect to each other, they can connect to any other transport pipe available. The non-wooden pipes will then put items into containers they are connected to. Wooden transport pipes, like non-wooden pipes, can also be used to put items into containers they are connected to.
When the pipe is placed it will attach to the nearest pipe, chest or machine available. The solid end of the pipe is the side it will extract from, and can be changed using a BuildCraft-compatible Wrench.
When powered by a redstone engine, the wooden pipe extracts one item at a time, with the time between items reducing as the engine heats up. When powered by a stirling engine, the wooden pipe extracts up to 24 items at a time. (However the engine will start to overheat) When powered by a combustion engine , the wooden pipe extracts up to 1 stack at a time.
