Defected sewage collector?

  • I have a few sewage collectors hooked up to a compost with silver upgrade and cows. It works for a little while and produces about 3 fertilizer, and then stops mid way or nearly complete on the 4th run. It has energy, but no sewage.

    • Is there any redstone signal near the machines? For most MFR machines, a redstone signal will stop them from working...

    • There is no redstone signal near the machines. All I have hooked up is a buildcraft pipe going down into a chest from the composter with a solar panel above it with 4 sewage collectors hooked up adjacent to the composter.

    • Did you say that the sewage collectors have the silver upgrades? You have to be careful when placing upgrades in the sewage collectors. If the ranges of 2 or more sewage collectors overlap, they will both stop working...

So if the sewage collectors are right next to each other, then the ranges will overlap because each silver upgrade improves the range by 6 blocks.

    • Aah, I didn't know that. Well, thanks for informing me of that. I'll degrade from one big pen to 4 little pens with enough space between. Thanks!

    • Glad to help :)

    • Sometimes my sewage collectors also have the green mob essence in the pipes going to the composter..

when this happens the seweage cant go into the composter and halts the cycle.

Is there a solution for this?

      THanks

    • Mob Grinders make mob essence, so make sure that your sewege pipe isn't accidentally touching the mob grinder (or any other pipes carrying mob essence).

    • Actually, I'm having the same problem with my Sewage Collecter. I don't have a Grinder at all, and nothing else that would produce mob essence. But I HAVE been manually breeding my cows, and I think the experience orbs from that are getting collected with the sewage. I've tried running them both off to separate tanks and have the sewage pumped off into the Composter after, but for some reason they're still getting stuck trying to get into the tanks. I think at this point all I can do is put in an automatic breeder and replace all my pipes.

      Adding to my text:

I dont have any grinders, purely the sewage collectors connected to a composter to produce indus.ferti for the fertilizer of my tree farms..

Nothing can produce mob essence,,  now i check on the pipes frequently and replace the green ones.

think its a bug becoz ive never had this before (im playing overload, other packs didnt have this )

    • Alright, everyone, I've found a solution. Liquid Routers. Just plop one down along the pipe path and set a bucket of Mob Essence going in one direction and a bucket of sewage going in another. They'll never get stuck again.

If you are playing FTB overload, you are in the wrong place.

    • It all comes down to the same mod with same problem, so stfu about the wrong place.

that you guys play tekkit light or overlaod who cares.

liquid routers is indeed a nice solution,

      thanks for the poster!!

    • Sorry for not being clear. If you encountered this bug in FTB Overload, you posted in the wrong place. This bug does not exist in Tekkit Lite (to the best of my knowledge, and I use sewage collectors constantly). It could even be a feature of the pack you are playing. Even if you had encountered this in Tekkit Lite, you would still be technically be in the wrong place, because this is a thread about the sewage collector bug involving range upgrades. If you have a new problem, make a new thread, on the right wiki.

      Also, try to be civil.

Minimoders everywhere. Say something helpful or stfu, the man is right.
