The Basic Logistics Pipe can give items travelling into the network a destination, storing them then in an adjacent inventory next to the pipe, and is used to craft most of the other Logistics Pipes. If you have an intersection in your logistics system, one of these pipes should be used, to make sure items go where they are needed. Also, be warned that, when putting items into an inventory, it will not check if there is space for it in the inventory and will eject the item if there isn't any. Using a Logistics Chassis with an ItemSink Module instead will re-route the item accordingly.
When right-clicked with a BuildCraft Wrench, a GUI will be brought up, with a "Requested items" section and a "Default route" button.
- Requested items: In this section, you can place up to 9 items here to have that kind of item inserted into an adjacent inventory (or sent outside the network via a directly connected pipe if there is no adjacent inventory) after entering the network. However, if there is no adjacent inventory or pipe leading out of the network, requested items will drop from the pipe.
- Default route: When this button is set to "Yes," it will place all items that have no other destination in the network into an adjacent inventory.
